Purpose
This document explains the steps to configure a Static IP address for a device uplink in Pronto Cloud Controller.
Prerequisites
Before configuring Static IP, ensure you have:
Static IP Address
Subnet Mask
Default Gateway
Primary DNS
Secondary DNS (optional)
Confirmation from ISP or local network admin
Make sure the IP is not in DHCP pool range to avoid conflict.
Steps to Configure Static IP
Login to Cloud Controller
Login with admin credentials
Select the Network
Go to Monitor
Select the required Network
Click on the target Device
Go to Configure Section
Click on Configure
Locate the Wired Uplink
Click the ✏️ (Edit) icon
Configure Uplink Settings
Under Uplink Configuration:

IP Type | Static |
IP Address | Enter Static IP |
Subnet Mask | Enter Subnet Mask |
Gateway | Enter Default Gateway |
Primary DNS | Enter DNS (e.g. 8.8.8.8) |
Secondary DNS | Optional |
Save Configuration
Click Save
Wait for device to apply configuration
Verify:
Device comes online
First Heartbeat success
Uplink shows Active
Verification Steps
After applying Static IP:
Go to Events Tab
Confirm “Config Applied”
Confirm “First HB Success”
Go to Device page
Check if device status shows UP (green)
Run:
Ping test (8.8.8.8)
DNS lookup test

Device Not Coming Online
Check:
IP conflict
Incorrect gateway
Wrong subnet mask
DNS typo

IP overlapping with DHCP pool
