Overview

The Notifications page displays network alerts and device-related events such as device up/down status, reboot alerts, and other system notifications.

1. Accessing Notifications

  1. Login to portal

  2. Navigate to Monitor β†’ Notifications

  3. Select the required Network from the left panel

2. Tabs Available

At the top of the page:

πŸ”Ή Unread

Displays new or unacknowledged notifications.

πŸ”Ή Read

Displays notifications that have already been viewed.

3. Notification Entry Details

Each notification includes:

  • Status Indicator

    • 🟒 Green dot β†’ Informational (e.g., Device Up)

    • πŸ”΄ Red dot β†’ Alert (e.g., Device Down, Reboot Alert)

  • Event Description
    Example:

    • Device E4:9D:73:xx:xx:xx BLR-Office-PC61 is up

    • Device is down

    • Reboot alert

  • Timestamp
    Displays time with timezone (e.g., IST).

  • Device Type
    Example: Router

  • Tag Icon
    Indicates associated device tag (if configured).

  • Download Icon (Right Side)
    Allows exporting or downloading notification details (if enabled).

4. Common Examples of Notification Types

  • Device Up

  • Device Down

  • Reboot Alert

  • System events

5. Pagination

At the bottom of the page:

  • Page numbers available

  • Next / Last navigation

  • Useful when large numbers of notifications exist

Notifications are generated based on the alert settings configured in the Alert section. Ensure that the required alerts are enabled to receive notifications on this page.

6. Behavior

  • When a notification is viewed, it moves from Unread to Read.

  • Notifications are displayed per selected network.

  • Filtering is based on the selected network from the left panel.

7. Purpose

The Notifications page helps administrators:

βœ” Track reboots and outages
βœ” Stay informed about network events
βœ” Quickly identify connectivity issues
