The Inventory page is used to add, manage, and assign devices to networks.
It provides visibility into device status, firmware version, heartbeat, and activation details.

1️⃣ Add Inventory

This section allows administrators to add new devices to the system.

Fields Explained:

  • Vendor Type
    Select the device type/vendor (e.g., PIAP).

  • Device(s)
    Enter MAC address(es) of the device.
    Press Enter or Tab to add multiple devices.

  • Network
    Select the network where the device should be assigned.

  • Add Many Devices
    Option to bulk add multiple devices.

Actions:

  • Add Devices – Adds the entered devices to the selected network.

  • Cancel – Discards changes.


2️⃣ Inventory List

This section displays all added devices along with their details and status.

Table Columns Explained:

  • Status Indicator (Arrow Icon)

    • 🟢 Green arrow – Device is online.

    • 🔴 Red arrow – Device is offline.

  • Name
    Device name (clickable).

  • MAC Address
    Unique hardware identifier of the device.

  • Serial
    Device serial number.

  • Firmware Version
    Current firmware version installed on the device.

  • Last HB On (Last Heartbeat)
    Last time the device communicated with the server.

  • Activated On
    Device activation date.

  • Network Name
    Network to which the device is assigned.

  • Tags
    Labels assigned to the device.

  • External GUID
    Unique external identifier (if applicable).


3️⃣ Bulk Actions (Top Bar)

When selecting devices using checkboxes:

  • Add to Network – Assign selected devices to a different network.

  • Tags – Add or manage tags.

  • Remove – Remove devices from Inventory or network

  • Apply Uplink Template – Apply uplink configuration template.


📌 Important Notes:

  • A device must be added to Inventory before it can be configured.

  • Device status depends on successful heartbeat communication.

  • Firmware version should be monitored to ensure compatibility.
