Notification Groups & Webhook Configuration – Support Document

Overview

Notification Groups allow administrators to define who should receive alerts when specific events occur in the network.

These groups can be used across the cloud controller in features such as:

  • Alerts

  • System notifications

  • Device events

  • Network monitoring

Notification Groups support:

  • Email notifications

  • SMS notifications

  • Webhook notifications (3rd party integrations)

Creating Notification Group (Email / Mobile)

Once created, the group will appear in the Notification Group List.

You can:

  • Edit existing group

  • Delete group

  • Assign group to Alerts

Webhook Notification Groups

Webhooks allow Pronto Cloud to send alert data to external monitoring systems or automation platforms.

This is useful for:

  • Integration with NMS tools

  • Ticketing systems

  • Automation workflows

  • Real-time alert processing

Important Notes

  • Webhook endpoint must be reachable over internet

  • URL format must be valid (HTTP/HTTPS)

  • Shared key should be securely stored

  • SMS alerts require Gateway activation

  • Notification groups must be assigned to alerts to function

Best Practices

  • Create separate groups for NOC / Admin / Customer

  • Use webhooks for automation & integrations

  • Test webhook endpoint before production use

  • Avoid adding invalid email/mobile entries

  • Regularly review notification group list

Conclusion

Notification Groups help ensure the right teams receive alerts in real time.

Webhook support enables seamless integration with third-party monitoring and automation systems for improved network visibility and response.
