How to add devices to wavespot cloud Inventory

This article explains that how to add/remove devices in the wavespot cloud controller inventory

Under the Inventory section, a user can add or remove the Access Points, switches and Routers, manage and monitor multiple devices configured across different networks, move devices between networks, and assign tags.

Start by navigating to Configuration and then Inventory.

To add a device

  • Select vendor type

  • Device(s) : Enter the Mac Address of the AP. Press Enter or Tab on the keyboard to add multiple AP’s.

  • Network : Select the Network under which the APs are to be configured.

  • Click ‘Add Many Devices’, to add Access Points in bulk.

    • Upload File : Sample CSV file in the PCC can be used to add the devices in bulk. Click Browse, Upload the CSV file.

  • Click ‘Add Devices’ to complete the upload

To move a device between networks:

  • Begin by clicking the check mark on the left hand side of the inventory table.

  • Click Add to a Network ''

  • Select a network where you want to move a device

To remove a device from networks:

  • Begin by clicking the check mark on the left hand side of the inventory table.

  • Click Remove

  • Select a network where you want to remove a device

Add or Remove a Tag:

  • Begin by clicking the check mark on the left hand side of the inventory table.

  • Click Tag

  • Add or Remove a Tag in the dropdown

Apply an Uplink:

  • Begin by clicking the check mark on the left hand side of the inventory table.

  • Click Apply Uplink Template

  • Select an uplink template (i.e. AT&T profile, T Mobile profile)

How to filter and search the inventory:

  • Click the Filter button and select from up/down/all devices

  • Search a MAC, network, tag or other data fields
