This guide covers radius configuration and linking an external captive portal to Pronto Networks hardware.
Configure Radius Settings:
Begin by navigating to the Organization and then Radius Configuration page. In this section, please configure your Authentication and Accounting servers. Multiple servers can be added here.
How to configure Radius settings:
Under RADIUS Name field, name your RADIUS profile.
Provide the RADIUS IP, Port, and Secret.
Select the Type as RADIUS (Authentication server) or RADIUS Accounting (Accounting Server).
Select the Create RADIUS button
Please configure both the RADIUS Authentication and Accounting Server following the above steps.
Once you have added your Radius servers, navigate to the network section to apply the captive portal. In this scenario, we will be applying the captive portal to a VLAN. Create or edit your Captive portal VLAN
Once in the VLAN menu, navigate to the Captive portal menu and click enable
This will expand a number of Captive portal settings, including:
Radius Authentication Server : Here select the Radius Auth server configured in the Radius Configuration Page
Radius Accounting Server : Here select the Radius Acct server configured in the Radius Configuration Page
MAC Auth: To enable MAC Auth request on the user device association, enable the MAC Authentication
Default interim update time : Enter in seconds, or leave the default values
Default idle timeout : Enter in seconds, or leave the default values
Splash URL: Add the URL for the login page of the captive portal
Select the URL where the customer should be redirected to once they login. For specific URL, select different URL option and enter the URL
Walled garden / ranges : set the walled garden domains. You can enter multiple by pressing comma(,)
Per user QoS : To setup a bandwidth limit on the users, configure this parameter as the max bandwidth allocated to the captive portal user. Value 0 means it is disabled.
