Dns stands for Domain name system and can be used to map domain names to numerical IP Addresses. During a DNS lookup, a human readable domain name such as google.com is translated to an IP address.

To perform a DNS lookup from a device, navigate to the Tools section.

Select the device and enter a destination value - IP Address or HOST.

Click Lookup to begin the test.

This allows you to verify the host name resolution, to identify that the configured DNS on the Pronto Device is working.
