Overview

Network Tags are used to restrict and control user access to specific networks.

Access is granted based on:

How Access Works (Important)

A user will only see networks that:

  • Have the same Network Tag assigned

  • AND match the userโ€™s permitted scope

โ€‹

Example Scenario

Network

Assigned Tag

Network A

PCC

Network B

Test

Network C

Gmail

If a user is assigned:

  • Role: Customer Care โ€“ Device Specialists

  • Network Tag: PCC

Then the user will:

  • โœ… See Network A

  • โŒ Not see Network B

  • โŒ Not see Network C

โ€‹

Important Notes

  • If no Network Tag is assigned โ†’ user may not see any networks.

  • Multiple tags can be assigned for broader access.

  • Network Tags act as access filters.

  • Role controls permissions (what they can do).

  • Tags control visibility (what they can see).
